Pamela J. Bass
Aug. 13, 1958 - Nov. 18, 2009
On Wednesday, November 18, Pam was taken from us to go to a better place. She was at home and surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.
Pam was born on August 13, 1958, in Bend, Ore. at the old St. Charles Hospital on top of
the hill. Her parents were Charles and Elizabeth Bass (who preceded her
in death). She grew up in Redmond most of her life.
Pam graduated from Redmond High School in 1976. Pam worked as a CNA for many years in Bend, but the job she loved the most was being a pre-school teacher in Bend at The Growing Tree, for many happy years. She was also a foster parent for Deschutes County for many years and just had so much love for children.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, puzzles, music arts and crafts and painting.
She leaves three children too soon but loves them very much,: son, David Bass and grandson, Jacob; son, John Bass, all of Redmond; daughter, Tiffany Bass and grandson, Isaiah Bass of Shreveport, LA. She also leaves her beloved niece, Roxanna and her husband, Mike Manning and her wonderful nephews, Cole and Ty Manning of Redmond. She leaves her sister, Ruby Bass, who she has shared her home and her life with for the last 30 years and her beloved baby brother, Hank Bass, his wife, Tina Bass and their two children, Jesse and Kelsie of Redmond. She leaves her wonderful aunt and uncle, Margaret and Robert Warnick of Pioneer, CA., her special family the Burdicks: Tony, Teresa, James and Tia of Redmond. She leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Bend area. To all her friends, thank you for all the support and love. We will miss her very much.
A service will be held at a later date. Redmond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
