Justin Richard Butler
April 12, 1995 - November 8, 2009
Justin Richard Butler died Nov. 8, 2009, at the age of 14 years. Justin lived and attended school in Culver, Ore. He was in the 9th grade. Justin loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, swimming, hunting and skateboarding. He was a very outgoing young boy. He will be remembered by his sincerity, kindness, and compassion for others. Most of all though, he will be remembered for his ongoing sense of humor. Justin had a lot of friends. We all loved him very much and will miss him always. We will never forget Justin for his smile. He was a wonderful son and brother.
He is survived by his mother, Kristina Butler; father, Richard Butler; brother, Coltan; and sister, Ashley of Culver; grandparents, Wayne and Sharon Cheshire of Prineville; Shirley Butler of Lone Pine; Bill and Carolee Clark of Springfield and god grandparent Chuck Hillis of Prineville. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard L. Butler; and cousin, Kimberly A. (Dexter) Freeman.

Ellen Louise Freeman

Ellen Louise Freeman passed away Saturday, November 28, at her home in Redmond.
Ellen was born in Cadiz, Ohio, to Paul and Emily Mallernee. When Ellen was 12, her family moved to California where she continued her education and graduated from Garfield High School in the eastern part of Los Angeles.
In 1965, Ellen moved to Eugene, Ore., where she met Luther Freeman whom she married in Reno, Nev., in 1977. In 1986, Ellen moved to Bahia Kino (on the Sea of Cortez), Mexico, where she lived until moving to Terrebonne in 1993.
Ellen enjoyed the "outdoors" - both the flora and fauna. She loved life, people and "just being."
Ellen was preceded in death by both of her parents and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Watts of Oklahoma; sons, Randall Tokich of Eugene, David Tokich of Palmer, Ark., John Tokich of Coos Bay; five grandchildren; her sisters, Peggy Ellis of Santa Barbara, Calif., Irene Sandoval of Riverside, Calif.; and husband, Luther of Nevada.
Per the wishes of her family no services will be held.

Kenneth K. Kaler Jr.
June 17, 1943 - Nov. 30, 2009
Kenneth K. Kaler Jr. of Redmond, died in Bend on Nov. 30, 2009, at the age of 66 years.
He came to Redmond 30 years ago. In 2000, he started square dancing and loved the fun and fellowship of it and in 2002 he met Kitty Fox while dancing. They were married in 2003.
They enjoyed dancing until his health declined early in 2009.
Besides his wife Kitty, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth of Calif., and Curtis of Ariz.; a daughter, Kathy Fox of Madras; and grandchildren, Rachel and Curtis Fox, and Devon and Morgan of Wash.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally, and his parents.
Graveside services will be held at Redmond Memorial Cemetery on Friday, December 11, 2009, at 1 p.m.
Those who wish may send memorials in Kenneth's name to either the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of one’s choice.
