Get wet this Easter

Redmond-area kids won’t find any large civic egg hunts this Easter, nor will their parents be able to partake in the annual sunrise church service at the fairgrounds but everyone can try something new this year and dive for Easter eggs.
Yes, for the first time Redmond Area Park and Recreation District is sponsoring an underwater egg hunt at Cascade Swim Center.
The April 3 event is organized for all ages and swimming abilities; some eggs will be weighted for underwater searching, some will float and 'hunts’ will be segregated by age and ability in the pool.
Games and crafts are included in the event and the fun begins at 1 p.m.; participants will need to pay the drop-in recreational swim fee ($2 for children under 15). The swim center is located at 465 S.W. Rimrock Way; for information call 541-548-7275.
Cougar Springs Senior Living Community, 1942 S.W. Canyon Dr., is sponsoring an “Egg Extravaganza” Friday, April 2, complete with refreshments. Activities begin at 2 p.m.; bring your own basket. Information: 541-316-4400.
And Albertson’s grocery in Redmond will have an egg 'scramble’ for kids 10 and under April 3 at 10 a.m. Bring your own basket or bag.
