Honoring Redmond’s Centennial this year, the Humane Society of Redmond is hosting a Centennial Dog & Cat Contest. One lucky dog and cat will be selected by a panel of judges as the grand prize winner. Prizes will be awarded. Entry forms can be submitted now through June 15. Redmond Parks Foundation and Humane Society of Redmond was selected as an official charity for the 2010 Smith Rock Sunrise Summer Classic Half Marathon. The 7th annual run is set for July 10 at Smith Rock State Park. Redmond Parks Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Redmond Area Park and Recreation District and the Redmond Parks Department. They are soliciting runners and walkers to participate in the 5 and 10K event and volunteers.
