Robin R. Alway (Olson)
Robin Renee Alway passed away at home in
, on Redmond, Ore. October 3, 2011, after a nine-year battle with colon cancer. She was born in , on Minot, North Dakota June 30, 1961, to Walter and Glenda (Mergel) Olson. She grew up in , where she graduated from Prineville, OR in 1979. Crook County High School
She worked for the USFS for 33 years until she retired on
March 25, 2011.
She married Jay Alway on
September 28, 2003, in . Las Vegas
Robin was baptized
Sept. 3, 1961, at Zion Lutheran in . She was confirmed June 1974, at Our Saviors Lutheran in Berthold, ND . She was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Prineville . Bend
Robin and her husband enjoyed working around the home to enhance its appearance with numerous projects both inside and out. Weekend get-a-way trips to
were also frequently taken and Robin loved the pai-gow poker tables where she was often a table favorite with many people betting on her hand. She loved attending concerts both in Reno and Portland as well as some locally. Reno
Robin worked as a web master for a National Incident Management team setting up an incident web site to assist locals with vital information and to provide the nation with a perspective of the team's progress. Robin was an ardent OSU Beaver football fan and attended games when she could with her husband and nieces.
She loved playing fantasy football and was the only woman in her league. In addition, she kept her mind challenged with sudoku and other mind challenging card games. Robin's love of her life was her four grandsons, who always perked her up and brought smiles of love from her.
She is survived by husband, Jay; three sons, Bruce (Jamie) Nash of Redmond, Jared (Andrea) Nash of Prineville, Kyle Nash of Prineville; stepson Greg Alway of Lake Stevens, WA; four grandchildren, Owen and Garrett Nash, and Zachary and Brodie Nash; three brothers, Randy, Bradly (Robin), and Glenn (Mary) Olson; sisters, Holly Olson and Corrina Jaeger (Randy).
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter; and daughter, Casi Nash.

Louise passed away peacefully in
on Redmond, Oregon, October 6, 2011, at the age of 92. She was born June 5, 1919, in , to Walter and Mabel (Miller) Hodge. She graduated from high school in Cottage Grove, Oregon , in 1937, and The Dalles, Oregon in 1941, with a degree in home economics. Oregon State University
During World War II she worked for the US Forest Service with special focus on incendiary balloons launched by the Japanese headed toward the west coast of the
. After the war she taught school in the United States . Redmond School District
In 1962, Louise and Leonard opened Downs Sales and Service, an International Harvester truck dealership and in 1973 they opened what is now Redmond Grocery Outlet in the same location.
Louise married Leonard Downs on
February 14, 1942, in , and was married for 57 years until his passing. Madras, Oregon
In earlier years she loved playing tennis and was City of
ladies champion. She also loved hiking, bowling, fishing and picking mountain huckleberries. Louise loved visiting with friends and family especially about her grandchildren whom she adored. She was involved with the Redmond Jaycees and Redmond Potato Festival committee. Louise was very active in the Redmond Chapter of PEO, Juniper Literary Society and The Community Presbyterian Church. Louise is survived by her two children, daughter Jan Downs of Cedar Park, Texas; and son, Bob (Carol) Downs of Terrebonne, Oregon; grandchildren, Shannon (Dale) Shumaker of Austin, Texas; Kevin (Shelley) Brattian of Phoenix, Arizona; Brian and Vince (JoHanna) Downs, of Redmond, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Alyssa Shumaker and Bo Downs; brothers, Kenneth Hodge of Vancouver, Washington and Dr. Wallace (Geraldine) Hodge of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents; and her sister, Dorothy Hodge McFadden.

Ramon was a loyal employee at Diamond International, where after 30 years of employment he retired. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in
. Redmond, Oregon
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominos, and billiards.
He is survived by his three daughters, Marie Hayes, Betty Gregg and Debbie Duran, all of Redmond; 12 grandchildren, Frank Sanchez of Bend, Ore.; Bobby Sanchez of Missouri, Delbert Sanchez of Texas, Cindy Brasswell of Redmond, Ore.; Brenda Shannon of Redmond, Ore.; Lynn Sanchez of Lake Oswego, Ore.; Deanna Lambert of Bend, Ore.; Monty Gregg of Redmond, Martha Gregg of Redmond, Angela Stensrud of Gresham, Ore.; Valerie Warren of Bend, Ore.; and Dawn Roberts of Bend, Ore.; and 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Ramon was preceded in death by his wife, Margarita Ramos on
August 30, 1991; and his son, Epimanio Garcia.
