Lions Clubs set up gift trees
The Lions Clubs in Bend and Redmond have gift giving trees ready for c ommunity donations to serve less fortunate c hildren this Christmas.
If you know of a c hild in need, go to Big Country RV and fill out a Lions’ gift request tag. The tags will desc ribe the c hildren and their gift requests. The Lions gift giving trees are loc ated at both Big Country RV stores, in Bend on Highway 97 ac ross from Home Depot and in Redmond on Highway 97 next to the Dollar Store.
Those who want to donate a gift selec t a tag off of the Lions gift giving trees, purc hase the gift, wrap it and return it to the tree before Dec . 20. Chec ker Cab Company in Bend and Redmond will deliver the gifts.
The Lions and Meals on Wheels will also have a spec ial gift-giving tree at the same Big Country RV stores to remember seniors and give them holiday joy this season. Cash donations are also apprec iated and the Lions Club will do the shopping.
Drop off c anned food at the library
Redmond Public Library is serving as a drop-off loc ation for the St. Vinc ent de Paul food bank. Donations of nonperishable food will be ac c epted through Dec . 31, during regular library hours.
